I posted my last blog on November 2,2024 sharing my opinions on what factors would determine who would win the presidential election. I listed 5 factors in favor of Trump.

- Genocide Joe protests
- The Debate
- Kennedy drops out
All the factors that played out in Trump's election are in play during his administration.
Immigration: The actions in LA play not only to Trump's base which LOVE this military/tough guy stance but also to normie Republicans and independents. You break the law. You pay the price. Forget the hypocrisy of Jan 6, pardons, and Trump's own personal and political behavior. Even if most Trump voters don't agree with the "invasion" rhetoric, they will always back the police and military (if not the courts.)
Trump in Court: The jamming up of the legal system is a feature of the Trump experience. His first law suit (a countersuit filed by Roy Cohen) argued in 1973 that he DID NOT quote rental terms and conditions to blacks and made false "no vacancy" statements to blacks for apartments they managed.
There have been over 4,000 civil and legal brought by or against Trump. The philosophy ready/fire/aim has made to the White House again.
Protests: Remember the big student protests of 2024. Whether the protesters were anti-war, anti colonialist, anti-Israel, anti-American, anti-starvation, anti-genocide, pro ceasefire, pro Palestinian, pro-Hamas, they did not capture the imagination of the American public. As is often the case in left-leaning protests, there are many flags flying (esp.Palestinian, Mexico) but few American flags. I noticed this in the LA protests.

The Debate: Remember about 2 weeks ago when Jake Tapper's book, Original Sin, came out. One of the continuing issues of the Democratic party is one of trust. How can you trust a party that 1. Runs a candidate who is infirmed 2. Drops him after millions of people for him.
Kennedy: The Kennedy embrace like Hegseth/Noem/Gabbard/Patel is a branding exercise. It is part of the show. The Trump communication strategy is what I decided to call shallow/casting. Select members of the administration to play a role in the MAGA video game.
