For 30 years (or so) Larry Lujack (1940-2013) and Tommy Edwards woke up Chicagoans with Animal Stories. What began as Lujack reading wire service copy (whatever that was) about unusual animal/human interactions became a long lasting feature. Edwards said, "The only way it really worked was when I was hearing the story for the first time, just like the listener. Then I would ask a stupid question, and it would set off some ad libs on his part, and then on my part, and we would wind up laughing."
Over past few months, friends have been sending me animal stories. This is my tribute to original, real Animal Stories.
