Looking for Something?

Day 16: If it's Sunday, it's FACEBOOK style.

Sporting a new look this weekend.

No, that's an old one.

This one looks like Aquaman's librarian.

I wanted to share an update of the car construction which may or may not be a Cobra. It doesn't look like there has been much progress since last week. In fact.....

Doesn't look like anything as been done at all.

The little painted stones have proliferated in our town.

They are apparently not a new thing. The Kindness Rock Project began in 2015 by Megan Murphy.

"WHAT IS THE PURPOSE IN CREATING KINDNESS ROCKS FOR OTHERS?

Our purpose is simple, to cultivate connections within communities and lift others up through simple acts of kindness."

The group has a web site, store, a link for speaking engagements, and a school learning project.

This being the world not everyone is enamored with the colorful little stones. The Hike Like a Woman web site is not crazy about the trend.

  1. It violates the 'leave no trace' ethic of hiking.
  2. Some of the paints used (although not recommended) are toxic
  3. No painted rock will ever be able to compete with a trail through a moss-covered forest or watching the sun set behind a mountain peak. And frankly, these things do more for my soul than inspirational quotes or a kind note ever will.
Naturally the comment feature of this site has been disabled.

Which is not surprising. While working with our niece on the virtual Seder coming up this week, she suggested a "Wash Your Hands with Baby Shark" video for the traditional hand washing ritual.

What is thrilling about this post is that there are 14,000 thumbs down and that the comments are turned off.

  1. Love the baby shark video. I sing it now when I'm in the shower.

  3. I also like "I'm Henry the 8th I am" as a nice hand washing alternative.
